Boat Trips
CCalabria, with almost 800 kilometres of coastline, has only two islands and both on the Riviera dei Cedri: Dino in front of the town of Praia a Mare and Cirella in front of the homonymous hamlet in the Municipality of Diamante. Cirella is easily accessible by swimming and skating, but Dino is more full of coves and caves and certainly represents an interesting and pleasant excursion for vacationers on the Riviera. Every day (except for adverse marine weather conditions), the S'Aligusta motorboat leaves from Diamante, with compulsory reservation (Foce del Torrente Corvino), for an excursion to the Arco Magno of San Nicola Arcella and the caves of Dino. We leave at 8.45 am and return at 2.00 pm. The motorboat goes around the island. There are nine caves in all. The excursion includes the visit of the two most beautiful: the 'blue grotto', about seventy metres long, certainly the most fascinating. In comparison to the grotto of Capri, the difference being the intense colours, ranging from coppery green to pasty and intense blue. And finally the 'Cave of the Lion' with a rocky wall that recalls the 'King of the Forest'. On the way back, stop at the Great Arch of San Nicola Arcella for an unforgettable swim!

Trekking
When we talk about Calabria, the first thought that comes to mind is the sea. Yes, it's true, about 800 km of coastline is not a few! Calabria is also one of the three Italian regions in addition to Abruzzo and Sardinia to have three national parks: Pollino, Sila and Aspromonte.
Excursions in the Pollino National Park between the peaks of Mount La Caccia, Cannitello, Castelluccia and Montea (1,788 meters above sea level) offer a splendid panorama that sweeps with breathtaking views of the Gulf of Policastro, of Capo Palinuro and on favorable days even of the archipelago of the Aeolian Islands.
